A Nightmare on Van Beuren Street

The world of late '20s and early '30s Van Beuren cartoons was often populated by truly bizarre nightmarish creatures. In the next few screenshots, you'll see some typical examples of these ugly, demented and absolutely delightful characters. Enjoy... and try to guess the names of the cartoons these screenshots were taken from. One of these cartoons is going to be featured in more detail, next week.

Many of the shots are from "Stone Age Stunts", an early Van Beuren with the Mickey and Minnie colones.

I have seen the other ones but I'm not sure about the titles as now.

That is some crazy, creepy, yet fantastic stuff! I wish I had seen these back when I was a kid on TV somehow! Thanks for posting these, there are pretty darn inspiring.
